West Ashley HS Students Invited to Demo Robotics at DIGSouth Event

West Ashley Mechatronics Teacher and FIRST Robotics adviser Mr. Nicholas Holmes said he was extremely flattered when he got the invitation for his students to demonstrate their robotics skills at the annual DIG South conference in Charleston.

“We brought our competition robot and one of the projects the students have been working on that assembles peanut butter cracker sandwiches”, Mr. Holmes said. CHECK OUT THIS VIDEO OF THE PEANUT BUTTER CRACKER MAKING ROBOT IN ACTION AT DIGSOUTH

Students took turns covering the table and visiting the other booths at the interactive expo. Some students even got to experience new virtual reality googles that allowed the user to ride a roller coaster!

Huge thanks to the organizers at DIGSouth for including students in this amazing event!
