Military Magnet Academy celebrated National STEM Day on November 8th with an inspirational guest speaker from Cantey Tech Consulting.

Guest speaker Mr. Greg Peralta, Cantey Tech’s Vice-president of Sales shared information relevant to our Cadet Scholars’ success as future leaders, both professionally and as citizens in our community.  Mr. Peralta talked about his professional experience with the Cantey Tech Consulting team over the past 7 years, and relayed specifics about his career as a business development executive.

Canty Tech Consulting is a leading provider of technology planning and support services. This is the companies 11th year of operation with 6 consecutive years on the Inc. Magazine 5000 List of fastest-growing companies in the country. Cantey Tech Consulting has offices in North Charleston, Summerville, and Columbia. They also have two data centers, one in Ladson and one in Greenville. They support clients across the United States and in Germany by providing a nimble and effective IT support.

Ms. Ferrette-Clark shared the following about Mr. Peralta’s visit: “The students were engaged and continued asking questions after he left. One of my Cadets returned to my class and gave a heartfelt statement. He said the presentation Mr. Peralta gave inspired him to try and make his dream a reality by studying hard and preparing for the CompTIA A+ industry certification.”
