Burke High School Attends SC HOSA Leadership Conference

On October 10th, Burke’s Future Heath Professionals attended the South Carolina HOSA Leadership Conference. Twelve scholars attended this event located on the Newberry College campus. HOSA scholars had the opportunity to hear from Keynote speaker, Dr. Joy Obidike and attended a variety of health care and leadership focused breakout sessions.

HOSA is a student-led organization of future health processionals where students enrolled in both health science and biomedical science programs learn more about health and biomedical professions and gain leadership skills. Students have the opportunity to practice and refine their academics, technical, leadership, and teamwork skills.

Great job Burke HOSA students!!
