WACAS Engineering & Mechatronics Students Visit Bosch

WACAS Engineering & Mechatronics Students Visit Bosch

On December 5, 2023, Mrs. Prout’s Intro to Engineering class and Mr. Holmes’ Mechatronics class from West Ashley Center for Advanced Studies had the opportunity to tour the Bosch plant and learn about the different career opportunities they have to offer.

The students were impressed by the automation and robotics of the plant, which produces gasoline fuel injection systems, ESP/ABS brake systems, and now electric motors. They also learned about the unique history of Bosch and it’s role in manufacturing, as well as the values and vision of the company. The students also had the opportunity to talk with a former WAHS  student who currently works for Bosch and is taking classes at TTC paid by Bosch.

Thank you Bosch, Mrs. Prout, and Mr. Holmes for providing a great Work-based learning experience for our students.
