West Ashley High School partnered with Building Talent Foundation and Innovative Construction Group and hosted a Lunch & Learn for 30 scholars. Students learned about a turnkey labor and material framing contractor that provides structural and truss design, wall and floor penalization, and tie-down. Students were engaged and excited to learn about additional career opportunities in the building and construction industry.

Building Talent Foundation’s mission is to advance the education, training, and career progression of young people and people from underrepresented groups, as skilled technical workers and as business owners in residential construction. They collaborate with career explorers and nonprofit institutions to introduce them to the residential construction industry and assist with finding them jobs with their employer partners.  Their services are NO COST to employers or job seekers.  BTF is a nonprofit and funded primarily by the 20 Leading Builders.
