Wando HS FCCLA Earns Multiple Medals at State Conference
Wando High School students recently attended the SC Family, Career, & Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) Leadership State Conference.
FCCLA Adviser Ms. Bessie Allen-Holmes reported the following students won STAR Events Competitions:
Fashion Construction Courtney Young Gold
Interior Design Rylee Fetterhoff & Taylor Nastro Gold
Life Event Planning Nan McCully Gold
Focus on Children (Sr.) Megan Hawrey & Michaela Henderson Silver
Teach and Train Haneen Dames Silver
Focus on Children (Jr.) Katherine Henderson Bronze
Students that earned Gold will be traveling to Washington, DC to attend and complete at the FCCLA National Conference!
Wando culinary arts instructor Mr. Bill Twaler also had student competing in the event. The Wando culinary arts students earned first place in their competition! Congrats to Maci Brown, Lucy Williamson, Dominique Evans and Chloe Seay! They also move on to Washington, DC for the National competition in July.
