North Charleston Elementary School Launching New STEM Focused Programs in 5th Grade Classrooms
This week, students in Ms. Hocking’s and Ms Theiss’ 5th grade classes at North Charleston Elementary School were given a special STEM themed assignment:
“Engineer a model home inspired by a shelter built by animals in nature.”
“Engineer a model home inspired by a shelter built by animals in nature.”
This STEM project-based learning opportunity on habitats called “Engineering is Elementary” is from the Museum of Science in Boston, Massachusetts.
Also, Ms. Hocking and fellow 5th grade teacher, Ms. Theiss will be implementing Project Lead the Way’s Launch curriculum in their classrooms later this year.Thanks to Lynn Clegg for submitting this CTE Success Story!
