LS3P Architecture Hosts Lincoln High School Students from Building Construction Program

LS3P recently welcomed 20 students from Lincoln High School to their downtown Charleston offices, part of February’s Job Shadowing month.

After the building construction students toured the LS3P offices, the staff shared career information regarding Architecture & Construction education & fields, and a design charrette activity was conducted (design of a new entry to their school).  At the conclusion, the students presented their drawings and inspiration to the group.

Special thanks to Jennifer Schutte at LS3P for her expert help in organizing this work-based learning experience and Matt Williams with Hitt Construction who was also able to participate and provide insight into construction management. Thanks to everyone who helped make this Shadow Day a huge success!
