Congratulations to Cyasia Aaron and Cedric Burkes for completing Explore Charleston’s Intern Cultural Enrichment Program!

This was a ten week professional development program for college students which Cyasia and Cedric were invited to participate in as high school students. What an honor!

They were very committed to their own personal growth and attended the sessions with a positive attitude and eagerness to learn.

Some of the highlights included meeting Mayor Burgess, participating in a dining etiquette seminar at The Francis Marion Hotel, visiting the Avery Research Center and meeting Senator Tedder, hearing from Mr. Darby and other influential leaders about their past and current experiences in Charleston and their desire to build meaningful connections, participating in speed interviewing sessions with hospitality recruiters, learning about personal branding and hearing from local small businesses such as Crabbing with Tia, and touring the North Charleston Coliseum and Performing Arts Center.

We are very proud of Cyasia and Cedric for setting the bar high for CCSD students!
