Congratulations to 51 students from high schools throughout Charleston County School District on their summer 2026 internships!

Student interns earned $17/hour, as well as a high school work-based learning course credit, while gaining valuable professional experience in a position aligned with their career interests.

Students met at Midland Park Primary school on June 4  for an orientation meeting. During the summer internships kickoff meeting, students met with supervisors from their assigned departments and completed essential documents for their experience.

Each student had a midpoint and end of internship evaluation meeting with their supervisor. Student interns also completed weekly journals with reflections on their experiences and worked a minimum of 120 hours in their role. Upon completion, students turned in their body of work, including their Training Agreement and Weekly Journals, to the Teacher of Record at their school for grading.
