On November 8th, North Charleston High School JROTC Athletics Team lead by Captains C/ENS Davonna McClary and C/ENS Makaila Lee traveled to Hilton Head Island to competed in a multi-school physical fitness competition. This is the first time in years this team has competed in this event. , which involved a 1 mile run, combat relay, pushups, curl ups, and an ammo can lift and final team event called the crucible. They finished with 5 team trophies and 5 individual awards.

This amazing team was awarded second place in the 1-mile team run, ammo can lift, push-up, curl-up and crucible event.  Individual awards were given to the top female and top male in each event.  Davonna McClary was the top female for the push-up, curl-up and ammo can lift.  Parker Poling was awarded the top male in the ammo can lift and Hector Moradel Velasquez was the top male in the push-up contest.
