CCSD Culinary Students Enjoy Success at FCCLA National Leadership Event

At the recent FCCLA National Leadership Conference in Orlando, Florida, South Carolina State Officers and Wando High School FCCLA members Honesty Muccio and Piper Mackrill were awarded gold medals for their 8th Place finish in the Hospitality Tourism and Recreation Level 3 STAR Event!

They were recognized on the national stage as one of the 10 top finalist in their category! There were 1,800+ competitors this year at the National Leadership Conference. Congratulations to these students and their FCCLA advisor & culinary teacher Molly Gordon.

And, congratulations to St John’s High School’s recent culinary graduate Storm Gibson on being awarded a silver medal at the event!

“Storm was St. John HS’s first ever FCCLA national competitor that I am aware of and I couldn’t be prouder of him”, said Alex Ward, St. John’s Culinary Arts teacher & CTE Department Chair.
