Exploring Welding: Burke Visits ArcLabs
ArcLabs in North Charleston hosted Burke High Schools students to explore their hands-on educational program. The visit was an excellent opportunity for our students to explore the field of welding and learn more about the career pathways available to them.
During the tour, students learned about:
- The welding profession and the wide range of opportunities in the field
- The earning potential for welders, including the higher pay available for traveling welders
- What hourly wages can look like after completing ArcLabs training programs
The program timelines:
- 7 months to complete the day program
- 9 months to complete the night program
Students also had the chance to speak with current ArcLabs students and tour the welding shop, which provided them with a hands-on view of the learning environment and equipment. Our students represented us exceptionally well. They were attentive, engaged, and asked thoughtful questions throughout the visit.
A special thank you to Ebony Trapp, George Jenkins, and Eric Jackson for assisting with this field trip. Your support made this experience possible.
