Wando Culinary Arts Volunteers at March of Dimes Auction

Oct 2, 2014 – The Charleston Marriott downtown was the host location again this year for the Charleston Signature Chefs Auction benefiting the March of Dimes.

Among the many volunteers that helped ensure the success of this event was Bill Twaler, and his talented culinary arts students from Wando High School. They arrived early and stayed late, and got the chance to work side by side with Charleston’s top chefs!

Chef Twaler said, “It was a terrific experiential learning opportunity, and a nice resume builder for each of the students. This work-based learning opportunity will pay dividends far in to the future for these students.”  Chef Twaler also expressed his thanks to everyone that made their inclusion possible, especially for such a worthy cause.
